GENERAL TERMS
When submitting an application, the participant confirms that they have read the terms of participation and agree to the following additional conditions:
- The competition coordinators reserve the right to reject an application without stating a reason.
- The entry fee is €40 or 3,500 RUB

AGE OF PARTICIPANTS
Eligibility for the competition:
- Women – up to 33 years old inclusive (born no earlier than 1992)
- Men – up to 35 years old inclusive (born no earlier than 1990)

REPERTOIRE
PRELIMINARY AUDITIONS
Participants must prepare and specify six arias in Italian in the original key in their application:
1. Four arias from the mandatory repertoire (soprano, mezzo-soprano, countertenor, tenor, bass, baritone). Link to the list of mandatory arias: View the list of obligatory arias
2. Two arias of choice from the Italian opera repertoire.
The arias must be selected from different operas. If the participant’s chosen arias are not included in the mandatory list, they must attach a copy of the sheet music during registration. The arias specified at registration are binding and cannot be changed.

During the preliminary auditions, all participants must perform one of the arias listed in their application (their choice). Additionally, the jury may request any other aria from the participant’s submitted list. After the auditions, the selected semi-finalists will be announced.

VIDEO- AND AUDIO MATERIALS
The entire competition will be recorded for archival purposes. Participants of Competizione dell'Opera grant the competition committee the rights to all photo, video, and audio materials created during the competition events, without payment or any other compensation. These materials may be edited, copied, displayed, published, or distributed without prior review or approval of the final product. Participants of Competizione dell'Opera waive any copyright claims or other rights to compensation related to the use of materials featuring their participation. The organizer of Competizione dell’Opera reserves the right to film, copy, distribute, process, and/or edit recordings and visual material throughout the preliminary cycle, rehearsals, semifinals, and finals. The granted rights also extend to the use of materials by television, radio, print media, and other electronic, digital, and audiovisual media, including online services and promotional purposes. The organizing company Competizione dell'Opera may also transfer these rights to television and radio broadcasters.
The jury consists of renowned opera agents, directors, singers, casting directors, and theater managers.

Rights and Responsibilities of the Jury
The jury reserves the right not to award prizes or to share awards among participants. The jury’s decision is final and cannot be appealed. The competition does not guarantee that all performances will be heard by the full jury panel. The jury may choose to evaluate only excerpts from the selected arias. The jury may request participants to perform any other aria from their submitted list.
All contestants agree to participate in all rehearsals and concerts related to the competition. The competition winners give their consent for the fact of their participation and victory to be mentioned in the performances and events organized by Competizione dell’Opera.
